Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development is woven through many areas of the curriculum at Temple Learning Academy.

They develop knowledge and respect for different people’s faith, values and views through Personal Development lessons and Religious Studies lessons (following the agreed Leeds Syllabus) and are positively encouraged to reflect on their learning. They are taught the difference between right and wrong and the consequences of their behaviours and actions. This is embedded through Fundamental British Values and understanding the rule of law. Pupils use a range of social skills in different contexts, for example working and socialising with other pupils, including those from different religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. They are encouraged to value different cultures and are given opportunities to experience different elements through Music, the Arts and experiences that are common within different cultures. They value diversity.
