Year 6 Transition
We begin to work with our feeder schools as early as possible to ensure pupils have a smooth and successful transition in to year 7.
Year 6 pupils attending Temple Learning Academy will also receive an extensive transition programme to support them with moving into the secondary phase of the school.
The transition programme for all year 6 students will involve opportunities for them to engage with the learning environment they will experience when they join year 7.
Our transition programme will ensure:
- Students arrive at Temple Learning Academy confident, secure and ready to succeed.
- Parents/carers and students are both fully aware and informed at all stages of how school life will change from Primary to Secondary School.
- Students are allocated to a suitable form and teaching groups, based on pastoral and academic information from primary school.
- Learning is able to begin quickly in September, as pupils have prior experience of the school – whether in virtual or practical.
