Temple Learning Academy is at the heart of its community and holds the community in its heart.
Temple Learning Academy works in partnership with the Red Kite Learning Trust.
The academy opened in September 2015 to 42 Reception Learners. In September 2017 we welcomed our first Year 7 intake and although small we will grow quite rapidly over the coming years.
We opened on site in an abandoned leisure centre which we refurbished and extended to meet our needs for this year and next. August 2017 saw the completion of £10.7 million development project of the site and grounds. This included a 3 storey teaching block with classrooms and science labs, kitchens and dining areas, sports halls, a library, meeting spaces, offices, computer rooms, technology rooms, art studios, playgrounds and sports pitches.
We are proud to be one of the first all-through schools in Leeds located in the same school campus.
We see this as a wonderful opportunity for staff to really get to know pupils, share specialist skills and knowledge, and work with the community to get the best possible outcomes for everyone.
In a community where other facilities are disappearing we plan to be at the heart still working for change and developing that culture and ambition in everyone.
We are supported not only by the Red Kite Learning Trust but also by a team of skilled Governors who keep us on our toes. You can find out more about them in the Governor section of the website.
