Key Information

Temple Learning Academy is at the heart of its community and holds the community in its heart.

Temple Learning Academy works in partnership with the established Temple Learning Partnership (TNLP) Trust, A Co-operative.

The academy opened in September 2015 to 50 Reception Learners. In September 2016 we  welcomed our second Reception intake and although small we will grow quite rapidly over the coming years.

We opened on site in an abandoned leisure centre which we refurbished to meet our needs for this year and next. From now until August 2017 a £10.7 million development of the site and grounds will take place. This includes a 3 storey teaching block with classrooms and science labs, kitchens and dining areas, sports halls, a library, meeting spaces, a drama studio, offices, computer rooms, technology rooms, art studios, playgrounds and sports pitches.

In September 2017 when this work is complete we will invite our first cohort of Year 7 learners to join us making us one of the first all-through schools in Leeds and the first all-through located in the same school campus.

We see this as a wonderful opportunity for staff to really get to know pupils, share specialist skills and knowledge, and work with the community to get the best possible outcomes for everyone.

In a community where other facilities are disappearing we plan to be at the heart still working for change and developing that culture and ambition in everyone.

We are supported not only by the TNLP Trust but also by a team of skilled Governors who keep us on our toes. You can find out more about them in the Governor section of the website.
