Personal Development

At Temple Learning we are passionate about building relationships and ensuring that children learn about a wide range of healthy lifestyles and how to be safe

We are unique and as such we have build a curriculum which reflects this. As an all-through school we build our Personal Development (PD) Curriculum from EYFS to Y11. Within the Primary Phase we start with the building blocks from EYFS and focus on the Prime Areas, specifically Personal, Social and Emotional Development which supports strong transitions into Y1. From Y1-6 our bespoke PD Curriculum combines both PSHE and RHE to ensure that our children have a broad and balanced curriculum offer which is enriched through trips, visitors, residential and a range of opportunities to explore their passions and nurture talents. 

Student Takeover Day

Every year our students apply to take over a variety of roles in the Primary Phase. These include Teaching and Learning, Pastoral, Administration, Site Team, Catering and Safer Schools Support. They apply and, if successful, spend time with the staff members finding out more about their roles and what it might be like to work in that environment. It is a fantastic day and really helps the students understand the world of work and processes involved.
