British Values

The Secondary Phase of TLA is a powerfully diverse and inclusive learning community. We welcome students from all cultures and backgrounds – a truly global community. We proudly uphold our school values of Courage, Opportunity, Respect and Excellence.

Building on the learning all young people have had in Primary, we continue to deepen students’ understanding of the Fundamental British Values.

Our approach is not simply to ensure that students can list these values, we work hard to create a culture and community where our students live these values.

The British Values are integrated into learning experiences within our academic and PSHCE curriculum. Many of our extra-curricular experiences, trips, visits, guest speakers, assemblies and charitable work are designed to echo and enhance these values for our young people.

Importantly, we emphasise that no-matter your geopolitical identity – these are global values, that build a harmonious community for all of us to thrive together.
