On Friday 4 July 2025, Red Kite Learning Trust brought together colleagues from across its 16 schools, Central Team and Red Kite Education, to participate in its Make a Difference Day, a full day of professional development, inspiration, and collaborative learning.

With five secondary schools serving very diverse catchments we have looked to achieve a state of ‘aligned autonomy’ which celebrates the difference of our schools and allows leaders at all levels to make decisions which best serve their communities.
Our schools are all part of Red Kite Learning Trust, a multi academy of 14 schools who benefit from centralised support and collaboration.
Our Youth Board have been discussing rewilding, sustainability, election plans and the first Red Kite Learning Trust Olympics.
The first Red Kite Learning Trust Olympics took place this week with year 5 and 6 pupils from all our Trust schools competing in a number of sporting events.
This week, our Chair Trustees, Chris Tulley, and our CEO, Richard Sheriff, sent an open letter to local MPs and other senior politicians and executives in
the Department for Education about school funding.
Last month, Maths Leads from all our primary schools came together to collaborate and share best practice.

Applications are open for Reception places to start in September
It seems like an awful long time ago now but over the summer holidays we received our second ever set of GCSE and BTec results.
On 19th and 20th September, Temple Learning Academy welcomed Ofsted inspectors into school. Whilst the findings of this visit are yet to be published, staff described the experience as very positive and praised the impeccable behaviour of pupils as they enthused to inspectors about their school.

As we continue to develop, we are able to benefit more and more from the fact that we are a ‘through school’.
In this year’s report we have chosen to celebrate the successes of our schools, communities, colleagues, and young people by telling some of the stories from across our Trust.
The GCSE Results Day will take place on Thursday 24 August 2023.
You are invited to collect your results from school between 10am and 12 noon from Student Central – please enter school via the Main Reception. Any remaining statements of results after this time will be sent out to you by post to the address we hold on file.
Wow! Has it only been six weeks since we returned from Easter? Another half a term has passed; one that seems to have provided countless bank holidays and, with the Coronation of our new King, it is likely to be one that we will never forget.
It was such a wonderful assembly this morning. All the adults are so proud of your confidence and achievements and it was a pleasure to celebrate with your parents and carers today!
