Summer Reading Challenge

Just a reminder that the Leeds Library Summer Reading Challenge has now launched at Halton Library! See the invite and event brochure with all the free events in over the summer.

For details please click this link SRC programme 2

The challenge really aims to encourage the children’s literacy levels over the summer, this year’s theme is Mischief Makers so it’s going to be a lot of fun.

One school will receive the school cup – the school with the most sign up’s from their classes so this is something to aim for!

Let’s beat the figures from last year and get even more sign up’s and completers.

The Library will come out to schools in September and see which children received medals and completed the challenge and we do a celebration assembly.

Thanks – and hope you have a lovely summer of reading.

End of year thoughts.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have come to the end of another very busy and eventful year at Temple Learning Academy. Thank you for the support you have shown us this year.

We have achieved several key milestones marking the progress and growth of our school. Firstly, all building work was completed this academic year. We are proud of our new building, how it looks and how it functions. ISG, our contractors, have gone on to win two regional awards for Temple Learning Academy and are nominated for national awards in autumn.

Our pupil numbers have increased from 42 in 2015 to a staggering 430 in September 2018. We are now running three of the four learning phases and will have pupils in Reception, Years 1 to 3 and in Years 7 and 8. We have become a ‘school of choice’ and are becoming oversubscribed on entry into Reception and Year 7. Our staff numbers have also increased from 9 in 2015 to 77 by September.
