World Book Day

Staff and pupils celebrated World Book Day in style this year.

Everyone at the academy spent the day dressed as their favourite book character, Following a special assembly and fashion show the children heard the stories of Juila Donaldson.

Kelly in the kitchen provided a special dinner at lunchtime and in the afternoon every adult took¬† part in a story carousel which even included Miss Moss’s dog.

As our photos show we had a brilliant day and loved sharing so many amazing stories!

Mums In School

Julie, our Resident Artist, invited mums into school as part of a project to celebrate Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day.

‘Mum’s In School’ had our mums join us overt wo day where they demonstrated real artistic flare as they followed Julie in a morning workshop session to create models of what is important or personal to them as mums, mothers and women.

Parents really loved taking part in this and the products they made will soon go on display.
