Parents and staff are working together to form a new PTFA (Parents, Teacher & Friends Association) to support the academy and all learners.
If you are interested you can find out more on their new Facebook page or by attending one of the events that will take place throughout the year.
For almost two months now learners have been experiencing phonics, reading and writing Read, Write Inc style. This is a very different method that we use at TLA to help children process sounds to create words.
Although resources to help you are on our website and videos on Facebook we invite all our parents and carers into school to share this method. This will help you experience the Read, Write Inc process first hand and support you to support your child at home.
We are accepting applications for Reception class in 2016.
Either:
Download a copy of the application form (available under the Reception 2016 tab)or
Call into school for a copy or
Visit the Local Authority Admissions website
When you have completed the forms please return to school or the Local Authority.
Thank you.
Children In Need Day is on Friday 13th November.
The theme this year is BE A HERO.
To celebrate and support all pupils and staff are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite hero or superhero. All donations will go towards this worthy cause.
On Thursday 12th November, just before school, one of our pupils – Grace – will be selling handmade Children In Need hair bobbles.
We are sure to all have a fun day.
