We are delighted to announce that Temple Learning Academy has been given the go ahead to open this September by the Department for Education.
Schools Minister, Lord Nash has confirmed that the Secretary of State for Education has agreed to enter into a funding agreement for Temple Learning Academy, which ensures that the school will open as planned this September to 60 reception pupils.
The Funding Agreement is the final step in the process of opening a Free School and enables the school to guarantee places to the families of children who have applied to become its first pupils.
Martin Fleetwood, Executive Principal of Temple Learning Academy, said: “I am delighted that the Secretary of State for Education has the confidence in our bid for a Free School. To meet the high standards set by Lord Nash and the Department of Education means that the confidence that has been placed by over 44 families in wanting to start at the Academy in September has been justified and that we are therefore on track to provide outstanding learning experiences for them and our community.
