Building

Temple learning Academy’s home is in the distinctive building that was formally the East Leeds Leisure Centre, which is situated within the heart of Halton Moor in East Leeds. This has been our preferred site from the outset, offering high quality, flexible accommodation, which we could adapt to match the curriculum we offer, with an exterior space suitable for early years and a playground. This spacious building and surrounding land offers all the room we need for the 1,000 children who will eventually occupy the school.

We have distinct areas for the children to play and learn outdoors, including sports fields (which are just 1 minute off-site), playgrounds, multi-use games areas (MUGAs), gardens, chill zones and designated Phase 1 provision.

‘I knew this was the right home for our school the moment I walked into the building. The possibilities of such a blank canvas are enormous and I have loved working with the Education Skills Funding Agency, ISG our contractors, Watson Batty our architects, our pupils and community to create a super learning environment.’
Matthew Browne, Co-Principal

We look forward to updating you with further information on the arrangements for the site and on our plans for creating an excellent learning environment for our pupils.

Keep abreast with the progress on the ISG Temple Learning Academy website.
